I had designed this from a photo of Craig skiing and wanted to make it our Christmas card this year. I never got around to it though, but for those of you viewing this, Merry Christmas!
I had been snowed in for a few days. Being that we now live at the top of a hill and that I don't have any snow tires, I felt I should probably stay at home. However, Friday the roads were clear enough for me to get to the grocery store. I was taking notice to what people were "stocking up on" and getting a kick out of some of the people. After being cooped up in the house for days, I wanted to make sure I had plenty of fresh produce. The lady standing in front of me in line was stocking up with about 20 cans of cat food, 10 boxes of Hamburger Helper, and a tub of Red Vines.
Every year when we were kids, we would go to the local Safeway Cookie Bake. We have since then, given up that tradition, but still, nothing says Christmas like making Christmas cookies. I ordered cookie dough from Safeway as a fundraiser and invitied over the usual crew for decorating.
We took the kids from work to the Festival of Trees. After taking the bus, the MAX, and walking, we were able to get in where it was warm and look at the gorgeous trees. The kids also enjoyed the live performances put on by local organizations and schools.
Well, the house is ours and on Saturday, we had "paint day."
Painting the dining/kitchen area
Don't just think we did it all ourselves...we had LOTS of help:
Well, we had even MORE help from other adults, but their pictures didn't turn out as cute. :)
It wasn't all work though...there was some fun involved:
Well, I'm not quite sure what this was...but it looks like it was fun!
